The ever strong willed and hardy Dwarves have a rich history, a history that has crossed the paths of many races seeking their unequalled skills at manipulating stone and metal.
They take such pride in the achievement of their ancestors that they honour them by recording the deeds of their kin in tomes made of stone or even into the very mountains themselves, for as far as a Dwarf is concerned stone is the only substance that can stand the test of time.
Fragments are primarily found near the entrances to caves or mines but often overlooked by most that stumble upon them.
