Hearth Faeries

During the time when a well stoked fire was the means to a warm nights sleep, Hearth Faeries took on the vigilant role of ensuring the coals stayed warm to last through the night.

Drawn to sources of heat they are often Perched atop a fireplace mantle, keeping a close eye on those that tend to the fire. They are however very picky about how “their” fire and the fireplace itself is cared for. If they feel the fire is being neglected they will signify it by making the flames suddenly move erratically.

Though they prefer fireplaces they have been known to take up residence near more modern forms of heating.
